Mare Articum at the 52. Frankfurt Art Fair - artist's statement

Contemporary cosmology claims that we are only some vortices in the streams of energy. If a stream of energy is able to reflect another stream, e.g. light, which phenomenon can be recorded by another vortex of energy, the eye, the image of the material world is created.
There is a “special space” of a work of art. This label is an analogy because this space is not a space (extension, dimension) in the common understanding of the word.
I try to introduce the viewer to this space by juxtaposing incommensurate orders: reality with illusion, the signified with the signifying. I do so by, e.g. the confrontation of the illusive surface ( a painting) with the real space. Despite similarities, there is no communication between them. The space of transition must be reconstructed by the viewer.
